A garland works as a single accent piece or as the structural base for something much larger. It is the most adaptable thing we build, because it takes the shape of whatever surface it goes on rather than imposing one.

What a balloon garland costs in London

Small accent garlands for a table run, a dessert display, or a backdrop corner start around $160. A standard eight to twelve foot garland for a shower, birthday, or office event runs $200 to $500. Large organic garlands covering a staircase, spanning a head table, or climbing a full feature wall land between $700 and $1,200.

Three things move that number. Length is the obvious one. Colour count matters more than people expect, since every added colour is a separate inflation batch and a separate sort before the build starts. And the surface decides the method, because brick, glass, and anything a venue will not let us drill into each need a different approach to hold weight safely.

Where garlands actually go

Along a stair rail is the classic, and it photographs well because the curve of the stairs does half the work. Across the front of a head table or a dessert table adds height at eye level without taking up the surface. Around a doorway or window frame turns an ordinary opening into something intentional. Up one corner and along a ceiling line gives a room scale for far less than a full ceiling install. And wrapped around the edge of a backdrop, a garland softens the join between the wall and the room.

For venues that permit nothing on the walls, garlands can be built onto a freestanding frame instead, which costs a little more but keeps the option open. Tell us the venue and we will confirm what is allowed there before quoting.

Indoors, outdoors, and how long they last

Garlands are air-filled rather than helium, which is why they hold their shape for days or weeks instead of hours. Indoors they comfortably outlast the event, and installs set up the night before are normal. Outdoors, direct summer sun is the limit. Sun oxidizes latex to a chalky matte finish within hours and heat expands the air enough that balloons in full sun can pop, so for outdoor work we underinflate slightly, favour shade, and set up closer to the start time.
